Is to understand the underlying cellular and physiological mechanism of mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBIs).
Spreading Depolarizations in mTBIs.
Our laboratory was the first to directly record the electrophysiological properties of spreading depolarizations immediately following a concussion-like injury in a mouse model.
The role of SDs in concussion-like behavior
Our lab is interested in the role of SDs during the acute behavior and vulnerable phase of the injury.
